Dress to be comfortable just as you would if you were on the ground. Wind chill factors are eliminated because a hot air balloon travels at the same speed as the air around it is typically a bit warmer in the basket. Do not overdress particularly in the summer.
Footwear: Wear comfortable shoes that cover your entire foot. All footwear must be closed-toed and have a back. We recommend athletic shoes.
Absolutely! We encourage you to capture your once in a lifetime experience. Our crew and pilots will try to point out and provide opportunities to take pictures. Make sure that any camera that is brought onboard is secured by a wrist strap.
The first thing that happens after we land is to make sure that the balloon is stable and in the location where we want to deflate. Sometime we may land in a field and have the crew pull us to the edge to make it easier to deflate and pack away. After we have the balloon where we want it, we literally pull the top out of it and let all the air out. We then pack the balloon away in its bag. Finally, after all the equipment is put away, we have a celebration toast with either sparking wine or cider.
That is completely up to you. There will not be any food provided. The ride in the balloon will be extremely smooth. So if you are worried about getting airsick, it is very unlikely.
The flight itself usually lasts anywhere from 45 minutes to 1 hour. However, the entire experience typically lasts about 3 hours.
